FN Mauser model 98 sniper rifle made for Israel
Top of the receiver is stamped 7.62 as well as the butt of the stock.
I think the Star of David is under the scope mount. This rifle is very
accurate. With the right ammo can shoot 1” groups. The stock is
similar to the WWII Nazi 98’s except it has a very pronounced cheek
piece. On the front sun shield it is marked “Nimrod” tel.
6 x 40
cat. No. 1000- 85119 K00R ASIA
It is well known that this is a top grade telescope.
Under the elevation knob is stamped “Nimrod” telescope 6 x
40.
Rather unusual scope rings which are quick detachable. The scope mount
appears to be welded or silver sodded to the receiver.
Has unusual safety. This rifle has 3 sling swivels. Two swivels are in
the front and one in the butt. Plus the normal sling slot (WWII Nazi)
except it is covered up by the cheek piece.

Pictured above is an Ultra-rare No. 4 Mark I English rifle, with C No.
32 TP Mk I Telescope. 99 rifles were manufactured by Long Branch in Canada.
Most of these were destroyed after the war. The scope was made by The
Lyman Gun Sight Corporation and is quick-detachable similar to the M1C
Garand. The rifle has a Griffin and Howe type mount, very similar to the
US M1C Garand except the top of the mount is not flat like the M1C but
is on a 45 degree angle. The “TP” designation indicates waterproofing.
The scope has a serial number on the elevation block. For all practical
purposes it is the same scope as the M82 with a post and crosshair. (We
are aware of some people passing off the scopes as correct for this rifle
when they are not. This rifle has another serial number so small you can
hardly see it etched on the telescope body.) To clarify the telescope
has two serial numbers which are the same numbers on the telescope.
This rifle is in Excellent to new condition. Complete with Cheek piece.

that was used against our forces in WWI. The rifle caliber is 7.65mm.
The barrel is 29 ½ inches long. The barrel is in very good to excellent
condition. The wood is in good solid condition. The gun appears to have

After WWII the Brazilian Government decided to modernize their small
arms. Because they were impressed with the German 43 and K43 in WWII and
there being a strong German influence in Brazil, the Brazilian Government
decided to build 100 rifles based on the German G43 for a trial period.
The rifle was designated the M954.
The major difference between the Brazilian M954 and the G43 is the M954
is chambered in 30.06 with a modified Browning automatic rifle mag, and
a gas cut off was installed in the front handgaurd. Apparently to be used
when launching a grenade. The sling attachments are also different...
