The scope is 4x30, post and cross hair with 2 front claws and 2 rear
claws that are part of the telescope. They are not clamped on or screwed
on, they are part of the telescope body. It is slightly off-set to the
left of the bore. The bases on the rifle are massive and loaded with powerful
springs to hold the scope in place. It is quick detachable, but not easy
due to the spring tension. The scope has graduations for different ranges
out to 1,000 yards and is calibrated to 7.62 NATO round.
There is a plastic cover to protect the objective lens when not in use.
It is attached to the claw by a plastic cord so it can't be lost. On the
back end of the scope is a 6 inch long rubber eyepiece to keep the light
out while you're sighting the scope.
The scope is complete with a carrying case. It also includes a scope adjusting
tool and small brush with container for cleaning the scope, also an instruction
manual written in Hebrew.
Included are the two mounts, the front is spring loaded. Each mount is
complete with 4 screws needed to attach to the Mauser 98 reciever. Removing
and attaching the scope to the mounting system is very quick, and when
in place it is extremely solid.
This scope was made for the Israeli's by Wild, who is a well-known manufacturer
of optics in Austria.
These mounts will fit directly on most any standard 98 Mauser action,
with the attachment of 4 screws per mount which are supplied.
The increase in the value of your rifle with this telescope on it should
be well over $2,000.
The Cost for all the items in the first picture plus the case in the second
picture is
$600
